About Cable Components Group
Cable Components Group (CCG), founded in 1998, designs, engineers and manufactures extruded products for wire and cable, fiber optic cables and industrial nonwovens. CCG’s 6-LAN™ crosswebs are foamed and include patented designs for Category 6, 6e and 6A LAN cables. CCG’s FluoroFoam® is a patented chemical foaming agent of fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) or perfluoro methyl alkoxy (MFA) for use in insulations, tapes and 6-LAN crosswebs. Foamed fluorine-based products are particularly suited for the evolving Power over Ethernet (POE) or Power over LAN standards. These standards require materials with enhanced thermal stability, and foamed FEP or MFA insulation and jacketing offer an added safety margin for POE applications.
CCG is focused on innovative new products for wire, cable and fiber topic applications. The investment into three new compounding lines gives CCG an opportunity to vertically integrate materials to service our customers with innovative, higher temperature-rated, fire retardant and foamable materials. Compounding also opens the door to broadening its commitment to highly thermally stable insulation and jacketing grades for both riser (CMR) and plenum (CMP) cable applications.
