CCG designs, engineers and manufactures extruded products for wire & cable, optical fiber and industrial nonwoven applications.
CCG’s flagship FluoroFoam®, a patented foaming agent made from fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) or perfluoro methyl alkoxy (MFA), is especially suited for evolving Power over Ethernet (PoE) and Power over LAN applications.
FluoroFoam® crosswebs, tapes and insulation meet National Electrical Code standards for use in Category 6, 6e and 6A LANTM cables. FluoroFoam® is RoHS compliant, UL recognized and recyclable, and foams at rates of 25% to 65%. It’s even self-skinning, which enhances its performance.

While the wire & cable compounds and components are core to CCG’s business, we take advantage of our engineering expertise to produce other polymer-based products.
Wire & Cable Components — CCG operates high-temperature extrusion lines and continues to build core product offerings of crosswebs, profiles, components and fibers made from specialty materials that provide optimal fire and smoke safety, superior signal and electrical transmission, and other desired properties. CCG’s extruded products are made from:
- Fluoropolymers (FEP, MFA, PFA, PVDF, ECTFE, ETFE)
- Specialty polyolefins (FRPE, FRPP, LSHF PE, LSHF PP)
- Other high-performance materials (PEEK, PSU, PPSU, PES, PPS)
CCG’s patented FluoroFoam® and FluoroSpun® product lines include cable fillers that meet high fire-retardant and low-smoke generation plenum cable requirements, making them ideal for use in Category 6, 6e and 6A LAN cables. Other CCG cable fillers include extruded profiles, rods, tubes, tapes, fibrillated tapes and multi-filament yarns manufactured from fluoropolymers (FEP, MFA, PFA, PVDF, ECTFE, ETFE), specialty PVC and polyolefins.
Fluoropolymer Compounds — The patented FluoroFoam® chemically foamable compounds that are used to produce CCG’s extruded products are also available in pellet form for use in plenum cable insulation and other components.
Fiber-Optic Components — Our custom extruded products are designed to enhance the performance of finished fiber optic cable. CCG products include multi-mode fiber, and UL recognized cable for plenum (CMP) and riser (CMR).
For fiber-optic connectivity, CCG offers furcation tubing, fiber buffering and optical-fiber cable components. CCG’s newest products are based on chemically foaming engineered resins (PEEK, PSU, PPSU, PES, PPS) and polyolefins (FRPE, FRPP, LSHF PE, LSHF PP).
CCG does not manufacture fiber cable components for resale into the distribution or OEM direct markets, but components can be private labeled.
High-Temperature Filtration Yarns and Nonwovens — CCG manufactures FluoroSpun® yarns, staple fibers and nonwovens that are engineered for demanding applications in the medical, high-temperature filtration, air quality, gasket and composite industry segments.
Our unique fluoropolymer meltspun fibers can support continuous operating temperatures as high as 300° C (572° F) and can be used alone or in combination with other materials to form fabrics, nonwovens, composites or other fabricated parts.
Other innovations developed by CCG include:
FluoroFoam Lite Tones™. A new line of FEP-based color concentrates, Lite Tones™ are formulated for optimum compatibility with CCG’s FluoroFoam®. Available colors include blue, green, orange, brown, black, white, yellow and red.
Flap-Top Separators. CCG separators come in a variety of shapes and range from tapes, which are suitable for most performance needs, to crosswebs, which come in plus-sign, star-shape, flap-top, asymmetric flap-top, air space and other designs. CCG crosswebs are 200° C-rated for Power over Ethernet (PoE) and Power over LAN use.
FluoroSpun® Yarns and Fabrics. CCG yarns are thinner, smoother, purer and lighter than other yarns, which reduces processing, scrap and production costs, while improving material strength and performance. Other benefits of FluoroSpun® yarns and nonwovens include excellent chemical resistance, thermal stability, high flame retardancy, hydrophobicity, and lighter weight relative to films.
FluoroSpun® yarns are available in melt-blown, hydro-entangled ECTFE nonwoven fabric. They are manufactured from fluoropolymers (PFA, MFA, FEP, PVDF, ECTFE, ETFE), as well as engineered resins (PEEK, PPS, PPSU, PES, PPS). After spinning, these materials are sold as yarns, or they may be crimped and chopped and sold as nonwoven fabric.
