Fibrillated Tape Fillers

Flat (Untwisted) Fibrillated Fillers are made by extruding a plastic tape and then running it through a mechanical fibrillator which imparts a mesh-like pattern into the filler. This softens the filler and allows it to uniformly fill the vacant spaces (interstices) between conductors inside the cable.

A Flat Fibrillated Filler can also be twisted into a round shape to create a flexible formable filler to fill the spaces inside a jacketed cable.  We can adjust degrees of fibrillation, diameter, density, tensile strength, toughness, and elongation.

CCG is developing fluoropolymer fibrillated tapes to mirror the temperature range of 150°C or 200°C cables. We make LS0H and flame retardant fibrillated fillers.

Tape Widths- 0.45 in to 1.5 in.
