FluoroFoam (R) Compounds
FluoroFoam® is a registered trademark (2009) for CCG’s lines of extruded cable fillers made from chemically foamable FEP. FluoroFoam® is also is CCG's brand name for its proprietary line of chemically foamable fluoropolymer compound now available as a wire and cable insulation material as an alternative to traditional gas injection grade materials.
FluoroFoam® Foamed Perfluoropolymer and Fluoropolymer compounds offer benefits as follows:
- U.L. Recognized component for Plenum Cable Insulation (QMTM2)
- Foamable Expansion Rates up to 50% on Conventional Pressure or Tube Extrusion Lines
- Self-skinning at 6 mils or greater wall thickness
- Available in the 4 Primary Data Cable colors plus white
Additionally, FluoroFoam® can Use Recycled Materials and is processable in a wide range of melt indexes including the variability of recycled fluoropolymers and is RoHS Compliant.
